Le Mans is the most iconic sports car racing in the world...period.As a young driver and also just someone who loves Motor-Racing, Le Mans was always something I wanted to experience and taste. I wanted to go there, see the sights, hear the sounds and feel the experience. I'd always watch on TV the highlights of the 24-hour race, but never really appreciate just what the men & machines were going through. I'd not even managed to visit the one off spectacle before. I'd always seem to have a race of my own going on, or would have planned to be away.
Driving a racing car on the limit is not an easy thing to do. If we assume you've been on a race track before, or you've driven a supercar fast on the roads (on the Autobahn in Germany of course)...then speed is the first thing you have to get used to. The Ferrari 458 562bhp engine can reach speeds of 192mph. That's all fine and dandy if you have a car on the Autobahn that can reach that speed, but if you're not used to it, or your Mini Cooper only goes to 120mph, then speed is the first thing you have to get used to on track...
England has so much for its inhabitants to explore with signs regularly appearing of ‘areas of outstanding natural beauty’, so we thought where better than the South West to hold The Drivers Room’s first driving adventure, exploring the glorious Cotswolds and coastal wonders through Devon and into Cornwall.
